Tracy Anderson Metamorphosis DVD set

After my initial weight loss from 5 days a week of cardio, I switched over to the Tracy Anderson Metamorphosis program (omnicentric). Doing cardio was great, I lost weight pretty quickly, but my body wasn’t quite in the shape I wanted it to be. I wanted to look toned with more definition and this program is really great for that. Tracy uses light weights to prevent bulky muscles.

I’ve been doing the program since May, and I have to say I really do love it. My body has changed so much since I started. I’m not flabby anymore! My arms are tiny, and I have ‘the sexy v’. Love that v. Woo! By the way, I don’t follow her diet plan at all – it’s extremely strict, and I do feel that the calorie count can be too low. But with the right amount of calories and decent food choices, the program still works. is great for tracking food intake.

One last thing – each day consists of 30 mins mat workout/30 mins dance cardio. The dance cardio can be tough on your knees and shins, so I recommend using a rebounder if necessary. This is the one I use. It’s been very helpful!


Getting started

Wow so this is my first blog post. Very exciting! I’m looking forward to sharing my thoughts about food & diet, life, and other things I enjoy on this site, and along the way I hope to learn from other bloggers with the same interests.

Over the last year and a half, I have changed quite a bit – I changed my diet and started an exercise program and was able to lose about 40 lbs. I went from eating dairy products all the time, to being a vegan. I didn’t really cook prior to the weight loss. I went out for dinner or heated up meals microwave. And now, I love to experiment in the kitchen although I’m not an expert.

I feel like I have learned so much about diet – about the effects of eating animal products (how unhealthy they are and not to mention how our consumption affects them), and in general how the American diet impacts our health, and our happiness. I feel like I need to help others by sharing what I know, and I hope that my positive changes can help inspire the people around me to be healthier. ❤

By the way, you’ll probably be seeing a lot of this little guy. This is Orion. Isn’t he handsome?!
